Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max in for review

With the vanilla IPhone 12 and 12 Pro reviews out of the way, it’s time to turn our heads to the biggest member in the family – the iPhone 12 Pro Max. In fact, this is the biggest iPhone to date with a 6.7-inch display compared to the 6.5-inch on the previous generation.

Beyond that you are getting the same, crisp Super Retina XDR OLED panel with a resolution of 1284 x 2778px. You get a new protective layer with ceramic glass polymer, which is supposed to be tougher than before. Of course, it’s still developed in collaboration with Corning.

To drive all those pixels, Apple is using its in-house A14 Bionic chip based on the 5nm process. Memory has been bumped up too – 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage as a base, compared to the starting 4GB/64GB configuration from last year.

We’ll make sure to take those on our usual photo trip and report back with the findings. Stay tuned – the review is coming next week!
