What Causes Discord Cutting Out In-Game Issue?

After reading through some basic troubleshooting guides and techniques, we came to the conclusion that the following are some of the most prominent reasons behind the occurrence of this error.

  • Outdated Audio Drivers: It is possible that the Audio Drivers that you are using on your computer might have been outdated due to which Discord is unable to properly utilize the Audio Configuration on your computer. It is best to keep all Windows Drivers Up to date in order to ensure maximum fluidity with your applications.
  • Application Issue: Sometimes if you are facing the Discord Cutting out in-game issue, all you need to do is to restart the application. It is possible that the application hasn’t started properly or has simply acquired a bug during its startup process due to which you are running into this issue.
  • Server issue: If the Discord Server itself is facing issues or is undergoing maintenance, there isn’t much that you can do except for waiting. Often these servers are put under maintenance to ensure that they keep working properly and this usually means a service outage of some sort.
  • Region Settings: The stability of your connection also depends upon the region that you have selected to bounce your audio signals off of. If you have selected a region that you are very far from, you will naturally encounter much higher ping times which can mostly result in Discord Cutting out every time you speak due to the latency or the higher delay in Audio input.
