2. Rollback Bluetooth driver update

  1. Press the Windows key + R.
  2. Type Devmgmt.msc and click OK.
  3. In Device Manager, expand the Bluetooth category.
  4. Right-click on your Qualcomm Bluetooth device and select Properties.

  6. Click the Roll Back Driver button. If it is greyed out, it means you cannot roll back the driver from Device Manager.
  7. Proceed with on-screen instructions to roll back the driver to the earlier version.

3. Check your antivirus and firewall

  1. Press the Windows key + I.
  2. Go to Update & Security.
  3. Open Windows Security.
  4. Click on Firewall and Network Protection.
  5. Choose the Public profile or the one that is currently active.
  6. Toggle the switch to disable Windows Defender Firewall.

Note: If you are using a third-party security solution and if it comes with its own Firewall, make sure to disable it as well.

Once you have the firewall down, enable Bluetooth and try connecting to any Bluetooth enabled device and check for any improvements.

If the issue persist, disable your antivirus as well. To disable the antivirus, expand your system tray by click the arrow icon. Right-click on the antivirus icon and select Disable Temporarily or similar option.

Now that you have both firewall and antivirus disabled try connecting to a Bluetooth device from your PC.

If the issue is resolved, make sure to enable the Windows Defender Firewall. Replace your antivirus with a better security program.


4. Uninstall and reinstall the Bluetooth device

  1. Press the Windows key + R.
  2. Type devmgmt.msc and click OK.
  3. In Device Manager, expand the Bluetooth category.
  4. Right-click on the Qualcomm Bluetooth device and select Uninstall Device.
  5. Confirm the action by clicking on Uninstall.
  6. Once uninstalled, reboot the computer.

After the restart, Windows will automatically detect the device and install the required drivers. If Windows fails to detect and install the drivers, open Device Manager, click on Action and select Scan for hardware changes.
